Tiffany Jane Designs x Queensbury Queens of the Mountain Cycling Club
The Queensbury Queens of the Mountain Cycling Club is a women’s cycling club from the town of Queensbury, West Yorkshire in the North of England.
The club was set up by a few like-minded female cyclists who wanted to share the enjoyment of riding the bike with other women around the hills of Yorkshire. The women of the club share many similarities including strength, passion, enthusiasm, and most of all they share a love for riding their bike.
The club currently has 70 members and is continually growing. No matter if it’s rain, hail or shine, the women get together and straddle their bikes twice weekly for their regular club rides, and head for the hills.
As the club was growing they decided they wanted their own identity to make them feel special and more like a club. They held a competition amongst the club to design an official club kit. It was here where my involvement began.
Through a close friends sister who is also a member of the club, knew of my design background and asked if I might be able to help out with the design. I didn’t think twice and was happy to take on the project.
From their competition they sent me their design ideas, I played around with them and this is when the Queensbury Queens Cycling Club official club kit was born.
I wanted to use their ideas and put my own twist on it to create a design that was unique, feminine and incorporate elements that reflected what the club represented.
We were really happy with how the final design turned out, and it’s been fantastic seeing all of the women riding together in their club kit.
It’s been inspiring to follow the ‘Queens’ on all of their cycling adventures, seeing how far they push themselves whilst enjoying every minute of it.
