Tiffany Signs with New CANYON//SRAM Racing Team for 2016-17

Tiffany Cromwell today officially announced her team for 2016 at the Rapha Cycle Club in London, UK where the new project was revealed this morning.

Tiff has signed a 2-year deal with the newly shaped CANYON//SRAM Racing team under the management of Ronny Lauke. “I am so excited about the new team!  This is a fantastic project that has risen from the demise of the Velocio-SRAM team.  I had some really good offers from various teams for 2016 and it was a tough decision to make, but in the end there was one underlying thing that made me stay with Ronny as he set up CANYON//SRAM Racing … they fought so hard to keep me, they believe in my abilities and listened to my goals and aspirations.”

The new CANYON//SRAM Racing team keeps a lot of the management structure from the Velocio-SRAM team that disbanded at the end of the 2015 season.  But the approach to womens racing will be fresh and innovative.  “We have new major partners for 2016, with Canyon and Rapha entering the professional women’s peloton for the first time, which is very exciting. I’m also very happy to be continuing to work closely with SRAM. The team and our partners have a lot of great ideas for growing the sport further, getting the community involved and inspiring more women to ride.”

Tiffany is ready for a big season built heavily around targeting Rio 2016 Olympics. The stability of the management team, the core squad of riders and equipment like Canyon and SRAM gives her confidence for the year ahead.  “I can’t wait to meet all the team in December at our first training camp.  There will be new faces to welcome and some of my teammates from this year.  I cant wait to get my new bike as I have heard so many good things about Canyon and I feel excited and motivated for the season ahead.”
